The Apothecary began as an effort to pick up the same spirit of the old, and reintroduce what traditional pharmacist left off. The idea birthed forth from the craftsman in Adrian Cheong (founder), coupled with his domestic skills in the kitchen - from his interest in making cheese andchee cheong fanfrom scratch, it then struck him to make perfume right from home.
Thus bringing The Apothecary to the debut of its line of easy-to-use men’s solid colognes in a variety of scents, all handmade in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Apothecary named its colognes according to unique characteristics of a modern man, personifying empowerment – from meeting the needs of a corporate high-flyer, to an alpha male, or even a witty creative highbrow.
